Overview

A public higher education institution with a non-profit status, Satbayev University ranking is situated in the urban environment of Almaty. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan has given the Satbayev University rating its official recognition. Satbayev University provides a selection of courses and programs that result in a range of degrees from the higher education system, including bachelor’s degrees. In addition to various academic and non-academic facilities and services, Satbayev University offers students a library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, and administrative services.

The oldest and most esteemed technical university in Kazakhstan, Satbayev University is renowned for its work in the mining and oil industries. The university has been associated with innovation and leadership in Kazakhstan for more than 80 years.

Satbayev University was given the designation of “National Research University” as part of the transformation of higher education in Kazakhstan K.I. This led to partnerships with eminent international scientists. The National Technology Center “Parassat” and eight research institutes are both part of Satbayev University. The university collaborates with 174 top universities from 25 different countries, including the USA, England, Germany, Italy, France, China, Korea, and Poland.

Courses offered

Masters in Geology and Exploration of Solid Mineral Deposits
For mining exploration and geological firms, the program provides specialized training in surveying, prospecting, and mineral exploration. Master's students learn the fundamentals of petrology, the composition of ore deposits and fields, the theory of how oil and gas deposits originate inside platforms and folded fields, and remote sensing of the planet. On contemporary computer applications like Surfer, Geosoft, and ArcGIS, education is undertaken. For lectures and consultations on current geology issues, renowned specialists from industrial enterprises, scientific research institutes, and foreign speakers are invited. Undergraduates are dispatched to exploration, geological survey, oilfield, and hydrogeological firms for hands-on training. Graduates from the university work as chief geologists, senior geologists, technologists, heads of geological parties, and district geologists. The Master's program offers comprehensive instruction in the specialty.
Masters in Seismology
The goal of the master's degree program in "Seismology" is to prepare professionals who are both theoretically knowledgeable and practically skilled in the field of fundamental investigation into the causes, preparation, and process of earthquake occurrence, as well as any associated repercussions. Preparing a long-term forecast of the causes, potency, and repetition of earthquakes receives special consideration. Graduates of Seismology are guided by contemporary scientific ideas, competently set and solve research and practical problems, engage in practical activities, master the fundamental techniques and complex knowledge of instruction and training, and instruct educational institutions of all levels and types. Modern computer programs are used to deliver education. Professors from other countries and top researchers are invited to give lectures and consulting on current seismology issues. Graduates move on to institutions and businesses that deal with earthquake challenges for practical training.
Masters in Architecture and Urban Planning
The course prepares students for careers in civil and industrial construction, urban planning, landscape architecture, historic building restoration and reconstruction, and interior architecture. The program's goal is to develop qualified architects who can undertake research in the field of architecture and allied fields and develop environmentally friendly, commodious, and energy-efficient designs. Within 1.5 years, graduates obtain an academic master's degree in engineering or technology, and within 2 years, they receive a master's degree in technical sciences.

Application Requirements

There are five main levels of the English language requirement for an Australia visa:-

Be a genuine temporary entrant.

Acceptance letter: You will need to have an acceptance letter from a recognized educational institution in Australia.
Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement: You must provide a GTE statement, which is a personal statement that outlines your intentions for studying in Australia and your plans for returning to your home country after completing your studies.
Financial proof: You will need to show proof that you have sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs to and from Australia, such as bank statements or a letter from your sponsor.
Health and character requirements: You will need to meet certain health and character requirements, which may involve undergoing a medical examination and obtaining a police clearance certificate.
English language proficiency: You may need to demonstrate your English language proficiency by providing test scores from a recognized English language test, such as IELTS or TOEFL.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): You must obtain OSHC, which is a health insurance policy that provides medical coverage for the duration of your stay in Australia.
Visa application fee: You will need to pay a fee for your Australia student visa, which can vary depending on the type of visa you are applying for and your nationality.
