University Overview

The State Medical Institute of Samarkand opened its doors in 1930. The Institute is one of the nation’s non-profit public higher education institutions, and it is situated in Samarkand. For its innovative approach to instruction and education, the Samarkand State Medical Institute enjoys a high level of respect. The Institute is committed to improving candidates’ academic education as well as their sociability and sense of community as a whole by enacting reforms and improvements.

The most up-to-date multimedia projectors, video recording technology, and audio equipment are installed in lecture halls, classrooms, educational and clinical laboratories to ensure the highest possible standards of teaching and research. A program for online learning is also in place. The Institute has relationships with countries around the world, including the US, Ukraine, South Korea, and others. Along with completing projects funded by funding from the Centre for Science and Technology, the Samarkand Medical Institute also collaborates with the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences to do basic research.
