The American University in Dubai's mission is to meet the diverse educational needs of a multicultural student body by providing outstanding teaching and learning, which will ultimately lead to the intellectual, personal, and professional success of its graduates and the advancement of society.Accreditation The Commission on Colleges (COC) of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) has granted the American University in Dubai accreditation to grant Bachelor's and Master's degrees (see www.sacscoc.org). The institution is authorized and all of its programs are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (CAA-MOHESR).
Other accreditations include those from the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) for programs leading to the Bachelor's and Master's degrees in business administration, the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET for programs leading to degrees in computer and information technology, and the International Advertising Association (IAA) for programs leading to degrees in marketing communications and advertising.

Student Life: A student must actively seek out opportunities to get involved in university activities if they want to make the most of their AUD experience. You can get active in student life at AUD in a variety of ways, including by joining clubs, founding your own, or perhaps organizing a unique event. A WOW (Week of Welcome), a AUD Desert Safari, an international night, a Ramadan tent, a AUD Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony, a winter ball, Thanksgiving Day, and UAE National Day are just a few of the annual events that feature 52 student groups.
Campus: The Palm Islands, Dubai Media City, and Dubai Internet City are all conveniently close to the American University in Dubai. The distance to Dubai International Airport is 25 minutes, and it is 15 minutes to the hub of Dubai's financial and commercial districts. The most recent technology is present in all academic buildings, which are designed to meet the demands of academic programs. With a strong emphasis on course-related information literacy, the AUD Library offers a wide range of print and electronic resources, including: 121,463 books (both print and electronic); 312 journals; and 70 online databases.
